What if you didn’t have to rely on TikTok or Pinterest or any other social media again. Creating a podcast can help you establish yourself as an industry professional and a sought after leader. It gives you a space to share your own experience while simultaneously offering a place for other industry professionals to join you. Think about it – would you rather invite someone to get lunch or be on your industry specific podcast?
2. Consistent Evergreen Content
Say it with me: WE ARE MAKING EVERGREEN CONTENT. We are focusing on quality over quantity. When you have a podcast you have content that’s consistently coming out that will (hopefully) serve you forever. Podcasts are a database of knowledge that you can make endless amounts of content from. We’re talking everything from static posts, stories, reels and TikToks to e-mails and even cold outreach content. Every week is a new opportunity to promote your knowledge, serve your audience and grow a group of likeminded listeners that value both your knowledge and (when the time’s right) products.
3. Building Personal Connections and Community
I started producing my first podcast in February of 2021. As someone who worked in events before podcasting let me tell you, you’ll never meet more people or make more quality connections than through podcasting. If you have an interview every week, that means every week you’re connecting with someone new and (oftentimes) their team! It will totally transform your life and how you’re seen in the industry. Even if you don’t have your own podcast, I encourage you to research podcasts that align with your industry or consumers and see if they’re accepting guests and how you can add value to their show.
4. Market Insights and Collaborative Growth
What are your customers looking for? How do you know? What’s trending in your industry? How are you positioning yourself as an innovator? How is your business positioning itself as a leader? These are all questions that are answered daily on industry podcasts. Industry collaboration is one of the fastest ways to grow as a business owner and stay top of mind for consumers. The rising tide lifts all ships and I truly believe the business owners and professionals that work together will make it further in a fraction of the time.
